Two Southern California men have been arrested for their role in a loan modification firm accused of bilking more than $6 million from their cash-strapped customers for services never rendered.
State investigators said Christopher Fox and Curtis Melone, both 37, were arrested Tuesday on 37 felony counts, including conspiracy and grand theft. They are being held on $500,000 bail and expected to appear in an Orange County courtroom later Wednesday.
Also nabbed in the probe was King Harris III, 42, of St. Louis, who will likely be extradited to California on federal mail and wire fraud charges.
It wasn't immediately known if any of them had retained attorneys.
Investigators closed Green Credit Solutions in late 2009 after customers complained they paid thousands of dollars for loan modifications that never occurred.
